Naaman's Test of Trust

The following thoughtful, discerning discourse was written by my youngest son Noah.

We're all familiar with the account of Naaman the Syrian in 2 Kings 5. He was the leprous captain of the Syrian king's host. The Hungry Soul

Eating seems to be a much more pleasant experience when one is hungry. The hungrier someone is, the better food seems to taste.

Josiah Part 2

Josiah was not supposed to have fought in this war. It was not his business.

Josiah

King Josiah was undoubtedly a saved man, a true child of God. He was going to heaven to be with God after his death. God promised this in fairly plain language.

See the Noise of the Trumpet

The Difference between seeing and hearing the Word of God is blurred when the seeing and hearing are done without the physical eyes and ears. Yet, God makes a poignant distinction between the two.

The Eye of the Needle

When I was very young, I was taught that rich people could not get into heaven because they were too caught up in their riches to care about God.

Godly Humility and Strength

Why does God allow infirmities, reproaches, necessities, persecutions, distresses? That’s a loaded question, but I’d like to discuss just one of the many reasons.

Be Not Rash with Thy Mouth

I’ve been reflecting on this for a long time. God’s Word can cause us pain if we’re sensitive to it, but that’s not the end of the story for the believer.

Who is Jerusalem in Ezekiel 16?

Does Ezekiel 16 talk about the corporate church? I’m not so sure it does. It’s a long chapter, so I’m just including portions.

An Example of Temporal Judgment

Here is an example of a temporal judgment suffered by a bona fide believer.
